I have had an internet journal of some sort (livejournal, deadjournal, etc.) since October 2000. The original purpose of writing in a journal like this for me was to have a place to keep record of the events in my life and the way I feel about things. I never thought of it as a way to keep other people updated (although it does serve that purpose form time to time), my journal has always been and will always be -first and foremost- for me. That said, some people may not always lie that they find here. I ramble a lot and complain a lot and bitch and moan... I like to vent. Having a journal has kept me sane for the past eight years. I plan to continue using it for that purpose well into the future. |

My name is Andrea. I don't really have many nicknames at all, although "Drea" works from time to time. The only person EVER allowed to call me "Andi" is my father. Currently I am 23 years old and waiting to begin my first quarter as a film and animation graduate student at Rochester Institute of Technology. For the summer I am working at Cafe Vas, where I also helped to finish the construction process by painting. I love Irish step dancing, juggling, writing, and playing Sims 2! |

I started dancing when I was a wee child of 4 years old. I started with tap and ballet, and then eventually learned jazz, cecchetti and pointe. When I was 14 I enrolled in Irish step dance at the Burke School of Irish Dance in Pittsburgh, PA. Irish Dance quickly became my life, and my previous dance experience allowed me to excel quickly from Beginner, to Preliminary Championships. After a five year hiatus, I have started dancing again, this time with the Young School in Rochester, NY. I have not started competing yet but have my first feis in more than five years on June 7. Wish me luck! |
